Winfred’s daughters and their partners had an emotional visit to Thorpe Abbotts. Their father flew with the 351st Bomb Squadron as a Radio Operator/Gunner on Piccadilly Lilly II from October 1943 completing 25 missions.

Ron Tee (son of T/Sgt Winfred Tee) retires the flag with a little help from Ron Batley. The Tee family brought the flag with them on their visit to Thorpe Abbotts so that it could be flown in honour of their Dad.

It flew over the Capitol in the US in early June this year in remembrance of Winfred Tee and to honour his service.
